Power Grid Corporation of India (POWERGRID) received a Letter of Award for a 150 MW/300 MWh BESS project in Andhra Pradesh on December 29, 2025 — its first standalone storage win under tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB).

The award is part of APTRANSCO's 2 GWh (1,000 MW × 2 hr) procurement across seven substations — winners included Bondada Engineering (225 MW), Ecoren Energy (500 MW across two sites), Bhagwati Group (75 MW), Legion Energy Products (25 MW) and SVR Electro Projects (25 MW).
